BEST TIME TO VISIT NAMIBIA.
- The best time to visit Namibia is during the dry season, from May to October. During this period, wildlife is easier to spot as animals gather around waterholes, and the weather is cooler and more comfortable for exploring. June to August offers crisp mornings and clear skies, while September and October bring slightly warmer temperatures. The wet season (November to April) is greener but less ideal for game viewing due to dispersed wildlife and occasional heavy rains.
BEST TIME TO VISIT CAPE TOWN.
- The best time to visit Cape Town is during the summer months from November to March, when the weather is warm and sunny, perfect for beaches, outdoor activities, and exploring the city. December and January are peak tourist months, offering vibrant energy but larger crowds. For fewer visitors and milder weather, consider late spring (October-November) or early autumn (March-April). If you’re interested in whale watching, plan your trip between June and September.

Your lodge is located close to the entrance of two of Namibia’s most renowned landmarks: Sossusvlei, home to some of the tallest dunes on Earth, and Sesriem Canyon.
- 2 nights double room on half board basis at The Elegant Desert Lodge, Sossusvlei.
Sossusvlei
Before sunrise, you head to the entrance of Namib Naukluft Park.
The best time to experience the Sossusvlei region is at dawn when the light transforms the dunes and desert into a stunning array of deep reds, apricots, and purples.
This early part of the day is also more comfortable, as it avoids the intense heat of the afternoon sun while climbing the towering dunes.
From Sossusvlei, continue on to Dead Vlei, a surreal white clay pan surrounded by massive dunes and dotted with ancient Camelthorn trees.
On your return journey, stop to explore the Sesriem Canyon, a gorge that has been carved into the conglomerate rock over 18 million years. Afterward, relax back at your lodge, cool off in the refreshing pool, or enjoy a drink while taking in the vast desert plains.
Sossusvlei - Swakopmund
Along the way, you’ll visit the Welwitschia plains and the aptly named Moonlandscape (permit required), two remarkable sights on this scenic route.
Once in Swakopmund, you’ll have the chance to take part in various thrilling activities. Options include scenic flights, dolphin cruises, quad biking, parasailing, dune boarding, and even parachuting.
- 2 nights double room breakfast included at Organic Stay Guest House, Swakopmund.
Swakopmund
For a more relaxed experience, consider a dolphin cruise along the Atlantic or a parasailing adventure.
Swakopmund is also a great place to explore its unique colonial architecture and enjoy the vibrant local culture.
Whether you're seeking adventure or relaxation, there's something for everyone in this charming coastal town.
Swakopmund - Damaraland
This rugged, rocky landscape is home to the elusive desert elephants, black rhinos, and a variety of free-roaming antelope species.
You will reach your lodge in the afternoon, where the rest of the day is free for relaxation and leisure.
- 2 nights double room on half board basis at Ondjamba Hills, Damaraland.
Damaraland
This is the perfect time to capture the soft glow of sunrise and witness the mist lingering around the peak.
Continue into the dry Ugab riverbed, following its winding path back to camp. Along the way, you may encounter the elusive desert elephants, feeding on the nutrient-rich pods from the trees that line the riverbanks.
Once back at camp, you'll have time to enjoy the surroundings or explore one of the walking trails (Classic Version). A highlight of the day is the sundowner drive, offering unforgettable photo opportunities of the Brandberg and the surrounding landscape.
Damaraland - Etosha National Park
On the way, you'll stop at the Petrified Forest, a fascinating geological site where ancient wood has transformed into stone, set amidst some of the oldest landmasses on Earth.
Here, you'll also encounter the Welwitschia mirabilis plant, the oldest living desert plant on the planet.
Before settling into your lodge on the edge of Etosha National Park, you'll have the opportunity to embark on your first game viewing excursion within the park, catching a glimpse of its incredible wildlife.
- 3 nights double room on half board basis at Etosha Village, Etosha National Park.
Etosha National Park
The park is centered around the vast, dry Etosha Pan, a salt desert, and is home to four of the Big Five—elephant, lion, leopard, and rhino.
The waterholes throughout the park attract a wide variety of wildlife, including black-faced impala, cheetah, and the Damara dik-dik, Namibia’s smallest antelope.
As the day draws to a close, you'll return to your lodge just before sunset, reflecting on the incredible wildlife experiences of the day.
