Also, the iconic Santa Monica Pier with its famous vintage funfair. From here, you can take a direct local bus into West Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard.
The outdoor shopping area of Third Street Promenade is also in the area, with all the major shops, plenty of local restaurants, bars and cinemas on your doorstep.

Try to go to Griffith Park to enjoy a beautiful sunset over Los Angeles if you can.
From Griffith Park, you can also hike to the famous Hollywood sign but, if you do, please note it will take approximately one hour to get there and one hour to get back so make sure you bring lots of water with you, your sunglasses, sun block cream and comfy shoes!
