Etosha National Park

Etosha National Park is the perfect location within Namibia to have an authentic malaria free Big Five Safari adventure. The park itself is a salt pan that can actually be seen from space due to its endless land.

The wildlife at Etosha is incredible and tends to concentrate around the water holes so the chances of animal spotting while visiting are quite good.

Getting to Etosha by private vehicle is quite easy and once at Etosha, there is a great accommodation choice affordable to all budgets.

The best time to visit Etosha National Park is during the Namibian winter months of June to September. This is their dry season so temperatures are mild and vegetation is dry. Most wildlife also gather around the water holes due to the lack of rain. During December to March there are lots of storms and this is the newborn season in Etosha, also an excellent time for bird watching. The landscape changes from a very white dusty park to lush and green everywhere.

WILDLIFE & SAFARI ACCOMMODATION AT ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK.

While visiting Etosha National Park, you can self drive your vehicle into the park during the daylight hours always following the park roads and never off road. There are some rules everyone must follow if self driving in search of wildlife. Alternatively, you can pre book either a sunset or a sunrise safari in a special vehicle with a driver and a ranger. They know, better than anyone, where to find and track the Big Five and “their friends”. 

You can stay at a lodge inside or outside Etosha National Park. 

Inside the park you will find Dolomite Camp, Onkoshi Camp, Okaukuejo Camp, Halali Camp, Namutoni Camp and Olifantsrus Camp.

Outside the gates to Etosha, you will find Emanya Lodge, Mokuti Lodge, Mushara Collection, Onguma Collection, Epacha Game Lodge, Etosha Safari Lodge, Etosha Village, Ongava Collection and Toshari Lodge.
