Sandakan – Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre - Sandakan
Meet your guide at +/- 9am at your hotel lobby and transfer to Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre for your guided visit, where you will learn all about orphaned and injured orangutans that came to this place to rehabilitate before being released back into Nature.
Witness the 10am first feed of the monkeys from a secured platform in the tropical forest.
There will also be a short video presentation about Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre.
Your next visit will be to the Sun Bear Conservation Centre (BSCC) where you will learn about the little known orphan and injured Malaysian sun bears (the World's smallest bears), only found in this part of Malaysia.
Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant ( included ), then your driver will take you to visit Labuk Bay to visit the Proboscis monkey sanctuary where you will enjoy a close encounter with these type of monkeys, typical of Borneo.
You will also be visiting the Plant Discovery Centre and walking over a suspension bridge, the only canopy walk in Sandakan over 28 meters above forest floor. Terminate back at your hotel in the late afternoon hours.Sandakan - Kinabatangan
Morning city tour of Sandakan including a visit to Sandakan Memorial Park, Puu Jih Shih Buddhist Temple, The Parish Of St. Michael and All Angels Church Kampung Buli Sim Sim, Central Market and Agnes Keith House.
Continue to Bilit in the Kinabatangan River area, home to the Proboscis monkeys, orangutans, langurs, macaques, estuarine crocodile, Asian elephants plus a wide diversity of bird life. The drive is very scenic so enjoy multiple stops for photo opportunities.Lunch and afternoon tea at your lodge (included).
A Nature guide will be with you during an afternoon cruise along Kinabatangan River, birdwatchers and Nature lovers' paradise. Dinner will be served at your hotel.
