December to February is considered summer season in New Zealand, days are long, bright and sunny. Hotel availability can sometimes be restricted so early booking is highly recommended.
September to November are spring months and March to May is the autumn season. We recommend travelling during these months. Between December and February you will find orcas in Kaikoura ( dolphins can be see all year round ).
