Iceland tailor made holidays

All About Tailor made Travel ATOL licence
Iceland can be described as the land of lava fields, hot springs, geysers, glaciers, black sand beaches and endless volcanic landscapes and waterfalls. Visit Iceland either on an independent self drive basis or travelling in a group, we cover both options. If you fancy a holiday away from it all and escape the crowds, Iceland would then be perfect for you. Visit Iceland at the right time of the year so you will enjoy the Northern Lights, a mesmerising natural phenomenon.

Just three hours away on a direct flight from London and you will be in beautiful and cold Iceland. Return flights with British Airways between London and Reykjavik start from £150.

Best places to explore in Iceland

  • Reykjavik, the cosmopolitan capital of Iceland. A city surrounded by glaciers, volcanoes and hiking trails.
  • South Iceland, with its stunning coastline and picturesque towns. Welcome to the most popular part of Iceland! Enjoy the Golden Circle, a scenic self drive route that covers approx. 230kms. You will find Blue Lagoon here, with its geothermal springs and warm mineral waters.
  • East Iceland is the land of farmlands and picturesque fishing villages. We call it the “Bohemian Iceland” and a meeting point for many artists and painters, particularly during summer months, where many festivals and outdoor events take place.
  • West Iceland is the land of many waterfalls, glaciers and volcanoes. Ideal part of Iceland for hiking holidays.
  • Reykjanes region offers dramatic volcanic landscapes, lava fields, lighthouses, geothermal waters and hot springs.
  • North Iceland features endless landscapes, lava fields, long valleys with lush vegetation and intense midnight sun because of its proximity to the Artic circle. The Vatnajökull National Park is home to the mesmerising Ásbyrgi Canyon and the Dettifoss Waterfall, one of the most powerful waterfalls in Europe.
  • Westfjord region, in the Northern Eastern part of Iceland, this will be your off-the-beaten track Iceland, largely uninhabited. True icelandic landscapes and plenty of wildlife, arctic foxes, bird life…

Best time to visit Iceland

It really depends on your priorities. Generally speaking, summer is the best season to visit Iceland. Between middle of May and August all roads will be open so you can drive pretty much everywhere and enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities. This will also be the midnight Sun season (during July it never really gets dark). Temperatures will be mild and pleasant. Availability can sometimes be restricted so best to book well in advance.

If you want to see the Northern Lights during your holiday to Iceland, then best time to visit will be February, March OR September and October months.
