Hawaii two-island hop: Kauai and Big Island

HAWAII'S BIG ISLAND

Hawaii's Big Island is the largest island in the Hawaiian Archipelago and also the most volcanic.

In Big Island you can spend your days driving to different locations and finding so many diverse locations...

Here you can expect to find black sand beaches, white sand beaches (Hapuna beach) and even green sand beaches.

Volcanoes National Park is just mesmerising. Try to arrive early, park your car and just visit the main view points. There are a couple of places around the information centre where you can have your lunch, although may be it would be a good idea if you bring some light meal and do a picnic in a stunning location.

If budget allows, a helicopter flight over Volcanoes National Park is highly recommended.

HAWAII'S KAUAI ISLAND

Out of the four main islands in Hawaii, Kauai is the smallest in size. Friendly and laid back, here you will find so many spectacular locations and you can drive from North to South in just over one hour.

Two of our favourite locations in Kauai are Na'Pali Coast, that can only be seen either by sea or air, and Waimea Canyon, as spectacular as Grand Canyon.

Other major attractions of Kauai Island are Fern Grotto, Wailua River and Hanalei Bay (film location of the movie "The Descendant")

For great food, live Hawaiian music and dance outdoor performances and stunning sunsets, try Lava Lava Beach Club which is just a short ten minute walk from Plantation Hale Suites, where you would be staying at.
