Planning a tailor-made holiday should be the easy part. Here is exactly what happens after you get in touch.
Tell us the rough idea
Where, roughly when, how many of you, and a rough budget. If you only have two of those four, that is enough to start. You speak to a consultant, not a call centre.
We send you a costed itinerary
Usually the same day. Flights, hotels, transfers and the total price for your party — not a "from" price. From the consultant who will handle your booking.
You change whatever you like
A different hotel, two more nights, a regional departure, a different order of stops. Most itineraries go through two or three versions before anyone pays anything.
£150 secures it
A £150 per person deposit confirms the booking and your ATOL certificate is issued the same day. From then the price is fixed — no surcharges. Balance due ten weeks before you fly.
No obligation. We answer the same day, seven days a week, 365 days a year — including while you are away.
Booking a tailor-made holiday: frequently asked questions
The deposit is £150 per named person, and that secures your holiday and your price. If you book within 10 weeks of departure, the full amount is payable at the time of booking instead. The balance is due 10 weeks before you travel. If the balance is not paid by then, we can cancel the booking and the deposit is lost.
Yes, you can book now and pay later — £150 per person holds the booking, and the balance is not due until 10 weeks before departure. On a trip booked a year ahead, that leaves around nine months before you pay anything more. Your price is fixed from the day the deposit clears. Bookings made inside 10 weeks are payable in full.
Our ATOL number is 10510, and ATOL protects every flight-inclusive holiday we sell. If we were to fail financially before you travel, you get your money back; if it happened while you were away, the Air Travel Trust arranges for your holiday to continue and flies you home. You receive an ATOL Certificate when you pay, listing exactly what is protected.
No, your price will not go up once your £150 deposit is paid — the cost of your package holiday is fixed from that point. The only exception is a surcharge imposed on us by government legislation or by an airline, which is outside our control and rare. In practice, the price on your confirmation invoice is the price you pay.
A tailor-made holiday is built around your dates, cities, hotels and pace rather than sold as a fixed departure, and the difference from an off-the-shelf package is in the design, not the protection. Yours is still a package in law: ATOL bonded under licence 10510, with one named consultant who puts it together and stays with the booking.
Travel insurance is not a condition of booking with us, but we strongly advise you to buy it the same day you pay your deposit. That way you are covered if you have to cancel before you travel, which ATOL protection does not do — ATOL covers our failure, not yours. Check the policy covers your destination and any medical conditions.
